How to call Christmas bingo
Page one of the PDF is the caller sheet: every word with a box to tick. Cut the words into slips and draw them from a Santa hat, or read the sheet in a shuffled order and tick as you go. On a TV or projector, use the online caller with this set: it shows each word large, keeps a board of what has been called and can call on its own every few seconds. Leave a pause after each word so children can find it, and repeat the last few words before you confirm a winner.
For a class party
Thirty cards is one class. Give each student a card and a handful of candy corn, mini marshmallows or chocolate chips as markers (the edible ones disappear, so hand out extra). Play a single line first, which takes a few minutes, then a four corners round, then a full card to fill the time before the bell. The words are simple enough for most readers from second grade up; for younger children use the kids Christmas bingo set.
Family night and the office party
At home, let the youngest player be the caller: reading out Christmas words is a job they will take seriously. At an office party, put cards on the tables before people sit down and play one round between courses. Grown-up groups usually prefer the Christmas bingo for adults set, which is about things that happen at the party itself.
Prizes
Small and many beats one big prize. Ideas that work: a candy cane, a chocolate coin bag, a pass to choose the next game, first pick from a gift pile, or a white elephant swap where every winner can steal. At school, a homework pass or a sticker sheet does the job. Keep a few spare prizes for ties, since two players often call bingo on the same word.
Make the game last
Change the pattern each round. A line is quick, an X across the card takes longer, and a blackout fills the last ten minutes before presents. The patterns page shows every shape, and the online caller and the winner check both know them. A Christmas tree shape is not one of them; the X or a full card makes a good finale instead.

Questions
How many words are on the Christmas bingo cards?
The set has 60 Christmas words. Each 5x5 card shows 24 of them around a free space in the middle, in its own order, so no two cards are the same.
Can I print more than 30 cards?
Yes. Change the number of cards in the form on this page, up to 500 different cards, and pick Letter or A4 and one, two or four cards a page.
How do I check who won?
Every card has a number. Enter it in the winner check on the game's page with the words called so far, and it marks the card and says whether the line or pattern is complete.
Can I use my own Christmas words?
Yes. The form below holds the full list. Delete words, add your own, such as family names or school traditions, and download new cards. Each word can be up to 40 characters.
Is it free?
Yes. The cards, the caller sheet, the online caller and the winner check are free with no sign-up.
