Bingo Calls

British 90-ball bingo gives every number a nickname, mostly a rhyme, sometimes a joke older than the caller. The caller says the nickname, then the number: "Legs eleven, one and one, eleven". Here are all 90, with where each comes from, and a set of funny calls for a school or office game.

Halls differ: many numbers have two or three calls, and new ones appear every year. These are the most common.

Funny bingo calls

  • B-4: B-4 you ask, no, it is not lunch yet
  • B-9: B-9 and nobody gets hurt
  • B-11: B-11, legs eleven, stretch them out
  • I-16: I-16, sweet sixteen and never been called
  • I-22: I-22, two little ducks, quack quack
  • I-29: I-29, rise and shine, the coffee is fine
  • N-31: N-31, get up and run, it is only number thirty-one
  • N-42: N-42, the answer to everything, look it up
  • N-44: N-44, droopy drawers, pull them up
  • G-50: G-50, half a century, still going strong
  • G-55: G-55, snakes alive, keep your daubers high
  • G-57: G-57, ketchup on everything
  • O-64: O-64, will you still need me when I am sixty-four
  • O-69: O-69, either way up, just like my handwriting
  • O-75: O-75, the last one in the cage, last call

How 75-ball calls work

American 75-ball bingo calls the column letter with the number: B 1-15, I 16-30, N 31-45, G 46-60, O 61-75. "B, 12" tells players which column to look in, which keeps a big game moving. The online caller shows and says the letter with every ball.
